Akito Izuki (伊月 暁人 , Izuki Akito) is the playable main protagonist in GhostWire: Tokyo. He teams up with KK, a spirit, who used to be a detective.

A 22 year-old student who gets into a terrible traffic accident in Shibuya. Teetering on the brink of death, he is saved thanks to his union with a mysterious and shadowy being.

After losing his life to a man wearing a Hannya mask, Akito merges with a shadowy figure that goes by the name of "KK," completely restoring him to life. Together, the two of them pursue Hannya, who has kidnapped Akito's younger sister, Mari.

After finally reaching Hannya's lair, Yaseotoko ambushes Akito and tears KK out of him, depriving him of his partner's powers.

Upon backtracking to KK's safehouse, Akito uncovers the location that KK is being held with the help of a mysterious woman. He manages to reach KK, and the pair merge together once more.

Appearance[]

Akito is a tall young man with fair complexion. He has short black hair and brown eyes. Upon merging with KK's spirit, the upper right side of his face is coated in dark smoke. When KK communicates, the black smoke also emits from Akito's right hand, along with a bright orange light on his palm. There also are mysterious, glowing pulsing lines coursing through the veins of Akito's arms.

Mari[]

Mari is Akito's younger sister. He feels responsible for her after the deaths of their parents, and is worried that he does not know what she is thinking.

KK[]

KK is the spirit of a detective who had died against the Masked Villain. He possessed Akito when he had gotten mortally wounded in a car crash on the way to the hospital where his sister was hospitalised. While their relationship starts rocky and conflicted, they soon learn how to work together in tandem, bantering with one another and balancing each others traits to match what needs to be done.

Rinko[]

Rinko is a former partner of KK's. After her death, she reaches out as a spirit and allies with KK and Akito. Akito is respectful of her and reproachful of KK's frustration with her.
